Your role:
We are seeking a proactive and analytically minded Product Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and developing our product portfolio, driving profitability, and supporting strategic decision-making across the business.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, contributing to product innovation and ensuring successful market execution. This position offers the opportunity to actively shape product strategies, influence key business outcomes, and grow within a leading international company in the paper and packaging industry.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and manage product portfolio strategies and lifecycles, including brand positioning, extensions and phase-outs, ensuring that each product remains competitive, relevant, and aligned with evolving customer needs throughout its entire lifecycle.
- Drive profitability and commercial performance through pricing, cost control and business case development, using data-driven insights to make informed decisions that strengthen financial outcomes and support long‑term growth.
- Collaborate with mills, Sales, R&D and Supply Chain to implement product development and product portfolio plans, fostering seamless cross-functional alignment that accelerates product innovation and ensures successful market execution.
- Conduct competitive and market analysis across customers, products, brands and segments, translating trends and insights into actionable recommendations that enhance our strategic positioning.
- Prepare product presentations, storytelling and benefit‑driven messaging that highlight value, differentiate our offering, and support communication needs.
- Deliver product trainings and knowledge sharing, empowering colleagues across markets with the expertise, tools and clarity needed to represent our products confidently and effectively.
- Lead strategic cross‑functional projects, managing complex workflows, aligning diverse stakeholders and ensuring timely, high‑quality delivery of initiatives that advance our commercial and product objectives.
- Ensure alignment of product and brand activities with business goals, translating strategy into clear priorities and actions that consistently reinforce our positioning and contribute to Mondi’s overall success.
Requirements and skills:
- University degree in business, marketing or related fields,
- Fluent English (required), German or Slovak are an advantage,
- 1-3 years of work experience,
- Experience in marketing product management in the graphical paper industry or packaging industry preferred but not required,
- Willingness to travel within HQ in Vienna, mills and internationally,
- Willingness to learn and certain technical interest,
- Proactive and structured working style with strong ownership,
- Strong understanding of marketing mix requirements ,
- Ability to align product and brand strategy with business and market developments ,
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives,
- Proficiency in analytical work,
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
